School & PTA Christmas Fair Ideas: Photo Baubles, Naughty or Nice Cards and Elf Yourself

A school Christmas fair has the tombola, the cake stall and Santa's grotto. What families remember afterwards, though, is the thing they carried home. If your PTA is planning this year's fair, here are three festive photo booth ideas that give every family a keepsake, and give the fair something people queue for.

Why a keepsake works at a school fair

Fairs are busy, noisy and over in a few hours. A photo that prints on the spot gives every family something to take home, and the festive experiences go a step further: a bauble for the tree, a certificate for the mantelpiece, or an elf portrait for the fridge. All three print on the spot, and digital copies share straight to phones by QR code, email or SMS. Each runs on a standard photo booth with a single 13A socket, so a school hall copes without fuss. Here is how each one works.

Photo baubles: a decoration for the family tree

The Photo Baubles Experience turns each booth photo into a tree-ready decoration. Families pose, the photo prints, and a Surrey FaceBooth team member fits it inside a clear bauble finished with a ribbon, so it's handed over before they leave the fair.

It suits a school fair well because the bauble comes back out every December, long after the raffle prizes are forgotten. It also works nicely if the hall has a tree to fill as the afternoon goes on.

Naughty or Nice cards: the one children take seriously

With the Naughty or Nice Christmas Card Experience, each guest picks their list on the touchscreen, types their name and poses. Seconds later a personalised certificate card from Santa's records office prints, with their photo, their verdict and a wax seal.

Children love choosing their own list, and parents love the arguments that follow. A team member is at the booth throughout, helping with name entry and handing over the cards, which keeps the queue moving at a busy fair.

Elf Yourself: the AI transformation

The Elf Yourself AI Experience carries each guest's face into a festive scene, with elf ears, a Christmas hat, a jumper and a lit tree behind them. Everyone still recognises themselves, which is what makes it funny. A print comes out to take home and a digital copy shares to their phone.

Guests who come back get a different festive scene each time, so the booth tends to keep a happy loop of returning families going. It needs an internet connection at the venue, so mention that when you plan the hall.

Choosing the right booth for a school hall

All three experiences run on top of one of our standard booths, picked at quote stage. For primary-school events, the Kids Selfie Pod is the pod we suggest for younger children, and it can be attended or unattended, your choice at booking. Our Christmas party photo booth hire page covers school Christmas parties and fairs in more detail.

Photo Baubles, Naughty or Nice Christmas Cards and the Elf Yourself AI Experience all give every family a printed keepsake on the day, and all run on top of our standard photo booths.

Is the Kids Selfie Pod suitable for primary-school events?

Yes — it's the pod we suggest for primary-school events, and you choose attended or unattended at booking.

Does Elf Yourself need an internet connection?

Yes — the transformation is processed online, so the booth needs a connection at the venue. Tell us at quote stage if the hall's WiFi is unreliable.
