Guests step up to the booth, pick a sport on the touchscreen, type their name, and pose for the camera. Which sports are available?

Any sport, any player. The five most-booked templates are soccer/football, ice hockey, basketball, American football and baseball — and we build custom templates per event on request, so rugby, cricket, netball, motorsport, golf, tennis, boxing, MMA, athletics, esports and anything else you'd want to see on a card all work. Tell us the sport at booking and we design the template around it.

How are the trading cards designed?

We build the card layout around your event before the day — sport, team-style colours, team-line text (e.g. "JUMP SHOT LEGENDS", "BASEBALL RANGERS", your club name, the event name), jersey-number style, stat-grid labels and any sponsor or club logo. You see the template preview before the event so there are no surprises on the day. Send brand or club artwork at booking and we'll factor it in.

Can we use our own team colours and logo?

Yes — branded card designs are standard. For corporate events we work with sponsor logos, campaign colours, and custom slogans on the card front. For schools, sports clubs and teams the club crest, kit colours and team name go on every card. For wedding and party events we can use the couple's surname, the event name, or the host's chosen branding.

What's actually personalised per guest vs fixed per event?

Per guest at the booth — the guest's photo, the guest's name, and the sport choice (when multiple sports are loaded). Per event at booking — the template look, team-line text, jersey number style, stat-grid labels and any sponsor or club branding. Stat values themselves are fixed by the template rather than entered live, which keeps queue times moving and lets us pre-tune the card so it lays out cleanly every time.

What size and format are the printed cards?

Trading-card sized prints (around 63mm × 88mm) on heavy thermal photo card — front and back printed. The front carries the photo, the guest's name, jersey number and team line; the back carries the stats grid and a short bio paragraph. The card is sized to feel like a real collectable rather than a photo-booth strip.

Do guests get printed cards, digital copies, or both?

Both — a printed sports trading card lands in seconds for each guest to take home, and a digital copy of the finished card (plus the raw photo) shares straight to their phone via QR code, email, SMS or AirDrop from the booth. After the event the host gets a branded online gallery of every shot from the night.

Are the card sleeves shown in the photos included?

Sleeves are a discussed-at-quote add-on — we can pair the cards with either plastic protective sleeves or rigid acrylic display cases (the graded-card look in some of the photos), depending on the event tier and budget. Bare cards out of the printer are the default; tell us the look you're after at quote stage and we'll fold it into the price.

How is this different from a regular photo print?

The print itself is the keepsake. Photo strips end up on a fridge or in a drawer; trading cards get kept on shelves and swapped between guests at the event. Cards are sized like real collectables, framed like real player cards, with names printed across the front and stats printed across the back. How many guests can it handle in an evening?

50–500+ guests over a typical hire, depending on session length and how busy the queue gets. The print cycle for a trading card is a few seconds, so throughput is roughly the same as a standard photo print. For high-volume events (school proms, corporate kick-offs, big tournaments) attended hires keep the queue moving fastest.

Can we pair it with other booth experiences across the night?

Yes — the same hardware runs the rest of the Surrey FaceBooth experience library. How far in advance should we book?

As early as you can — peak Saturday dates, end-of-season club presentation evenings and December corporate-party dates book out furthest ahead. Custom-template design work ideally wants 2–3 weeks of lead time so we can preview and sign-off before the event. Weekday and off-peak dates are often available with shorter notice. How a Sports Trading Card session actually runs

  1. Quote and book — drop your event date, postcode and guest count into the instant quote, confirm with a deposit, and tell us the sport theme, host booth choice and any branding (sponsor logos, club crest, team colours).
  2. Pre-event template design — we build the card template around your brief (sport, team-line text, jersey-number style, stat-grid labels, branding) and send you a preview to sign off ahead of the day.
  3. On the day, before guests arrive — we turn up 30–60 minutes before your event start time, set up the host booth, load the trading-card experience, test the camera and printer, and have the queue area ready before doors open.
  4. Guests use the booth — step up, pick a sport on the touchscreen, type their name, pose for the camera, and pick up a printed sports trading card seconds later. On attended hires the team member at the booth helps with name entry and keeps the queue moving.
  5. Digital sharing — guests scan the QR code on the screen, or share by email / SMS / AirDrop straight from the booth — digital copy of the finished card plus the raw photo to their phone.
