Guests step through the curtained entry into the booth, tap start on the touchscreen, and a built-in HD camera with a soft fill light captures a sequence of frames. A 2×6 photo strip lands in the tray seconds later; digital copies (photo, GIF or boomerang) are shared straight to phones via QR, email, SMS or AirDrop. The whole event uploads to a branded online gallery delivered to the host afterwards.

The walls. It's all the speed and software of the selfie pod, but inside an enclosure so guests get a moment of privacy from the rest of the room — fewer self-conscious shots, more expressive ones. What is the Party Booth?

It's a selfie pod wrapped in a walled enclosure with a curtain entry. Same built-in HD camera, soft fill light, 2×6 strip printer and software library as the open-style selfie pod — the walls add privacy and let groups of up to six pile inside together for each shot.

How is the Party Booth different from the Selfie Pod?

Internals are identical — same camera, light, prints, software. The difference is the enclosure. The Selfie Pod is open-style (the whole room can see the guests posing); the Party Booth has walls and a curtain entry, so guests get a moment of privacy and groups of up to six fit inside per shot rather than crowding in front of a pod. Pick the Selfie Pod when you want the smallest possible footprint and the open look; pick the Party Booth when you want the enclosure for privacy and bigger groups.

How is it different from the Oval Enclosed Booth?

Different chassis, different internals, different price point. The Oval Enclosed Booth is fully enclosed (walls + roof + door, sealed cabin), shoots on a DSLR with studio-style lighting, and prints 6×4 photos or 2×6 strips. The Party Booth is open at the top with a curtain entry, shoots on the built-in HD camera (lower-spec than DSLR), and prints 2×6 strips only. The Oval fits up to 3 adults inside per shot; the Party Booth fits up to 6. Pick the Oval for premium image quality and a sealed cabin; pick the Party Booth for the privacy of walls at the selfie-pod price point with bigger group capacity.

How many people fit inside at once?

Up to six adults per shot. The booth is roomier than the Oval Enclosed (which fits three) — whole groups of friends, bridal parties or work teams can pile inside together rather than splitting across multiple takes.

What colour are the walls?

Black walls + black curtain entry as standard. For corporate events, brand activations and product launches we can wrap the exterior of the walls with custom branding (extra cost — flag at quote stage). The interior stays black either way.

Can it be branded for a corporate event?

Yes — the exterior of the walls can be wrapped with your branding (logo, product imagery, campaign artwork — your file). Pair that with a branded overlay on every strip and a branded online gallery delivered after the event. Flag at quote stage so we can quote the wrap and turn the artwork around in time.

Does it print on the spot or do guests have to wait?

Prints land in the tray in seconds — 2×6 photo strips (four shots stacked vertically) on a dye-sublimation printer. The print is dry, smudge-proof and ready-to-handle straight out of the printer.

Do guests get digital copies too?

Yes — every shot uploads to a branded online gallery and guests can scan a QR code at the booth or download from the gallery link after the event. We also support on-the-night email, SMS and AirDrop sharing for guests who want a copy on their phone immediately.

Does it support GIFs and boomerangs, or just stills?

Both stills and GIFs/boomerangs are supported. The printed strip is always a still — that's the keepsake — but the digital share can be a still, GIF or boomerang depending on which mode guests pick at the touchscreen. The animated formats go to the online gallery and the share options, not to the printer.

Which Surrey FaceBooth experiences run on the Party Booth?

Magazine Cover, AI Booth, and any custom layout we build for the event all run on the Party Booth — same software library as the Selfie Pod. The one experience that does NOT run on this booth is the Kardashian Glam Booth Experience — Glam needs a DSLR with studio-style lighting to deliver the studio finish, and the Party Booth's built-in HD camera + soft fill light isn't the right hardware for it. For Glam, the Vintage booth is the right pick.

Is it attended or self-service?

Your choice at booking. Attended hires put a team member at the booth all night to guide groups through the curtain, hand out props, and run the guest book if you've added one. Unattended hires are self-service — the booth runs itself, with a team member in the area for the duration of every hire either way.

How long does setup take?

30–60 minutes. We arrive 30–60 minutes before your event start time, position the booth, hang the curtain, run the camera and printer through a test sequence, and have everything ready before doors open.

How big is the booth?

Allow about 2m × 2m to 2m × 2.5m of clear floor space. The walls take a bit more footprint than an open selfie pod, but no ceiling clearance issue — the booth is open at the top so it sits comfortably in standard-height rooms.

Can it go outdoors?

Covered marquees on a level surface only — the walls and curtain aren't weatherproof and the floor needs to be solid. For genuinely open-air events the Selfie Pod under a marquee or the 360 video booth are better fits.

Are props included?

Yes — props are included as standard. The exact selection rotates depending on what's in the kit on the day.

Can we add an audio guestbook or custom backdrop?

Yes — both are popular Party Booth add-ons. The audio guestbook lets guests record a short voice message for the host alongside their printed strip; the custom backdrop sits beside the booth entry for non-booth photos throughout the night. Flag either at quote stage.
